Celebrate March

If you've been visiting this blog any time at all, you should know by now that I love to decorate for the various holidays and months. On March 1st I put away all the hearts and Valentine's decorations pulled out the St. Patrick's Day box. We are officially "green" in this house...no pinching allowed. ;-)

Irish Cream filled candy that I purchased after Christmas for CHEAP! I've already checked and we can eat 3 of the Kisses OR 2 of the Dove chocolates (on our current diet)! YAY!!

Of course I have shamrock lights!

My mom made pillowcases for our bed with this shamrock fabric that I picked out at Hobby Lobby.

Look around and see what you can do to bring some St. Patrick's Day charm to your house this month. As someone with a Scotch-Irish heritage (with a large dose of English and Cherokee Indian thrown in for good measure), I have always loved this holiday. Make sure you visit on Thursday when I'll have my Top Ten favorite music CD's and movies for St. Patrick's Day!

Top o' the mornin' to you!

  1. Is that a tied-fleece blanket I see on your bed? I've made a few of those and love them! :)

  2. Thanks for visiting Carissa! And yes, it is. I made several last year, for various holidays and for gifts (baby, birthday, and Christmas). They are so warm and so super easy!! :-)

  3. Carrie, I love all your finishing touches, but especially the bedroom! I think you could open a B&B with each room decorated in holiday array--IF you had extra bedrooms, that is :-)

I really enjoy the photos of your home and all its glorious decor!
    Blessings, Linda
