Garden Beginnings

Some of our plants are beginning to sprout in the basement. We've got lettuce shooting up, yellow and red onions, basil, and even a pepper plant poking it's head up through the dirt. Next to harvesting the yummy goodness, this is my favorite part of having a garden!

"Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed. And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground - trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. [...] A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there is separated into four headwaters. [...] The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."
--Genesis 2:8-15

  1. Hi carrie!! How exciting! I will be following your garden this year since I won't have one of my own.
The wonder of seeds turning into edible food never ceases!!
