Blog Hop 2010

After seeing my friend participate in the Blog Hop over on her blog (Beth Stone Studio), I figured it wouldn't hurt to join in the fun and add my own two cents about Carrie's Busy Nothings and Little Brother Stories. So if you are a first time guest to either blog - welcome and I certainly hope you come back to visit in the future! Thanks to Robin at the Pensieve blog for hosting this fun event!

About Me: I'm Carrie and I've been a wife for ten years to a man who keeps me laughing and taught me to cook. I'm a part-time blogger who is trying to figure out if my college degree is more than a piece of paper in my file cabinet or if this is the beginning of a new adventure. I've been called a "coffee snob” and I also enjoy fine cheese and good Indian food. Living around the world for four and a half years made me appreciate cultural differences and honor people with foreign language skills. Book stores are my Achilles heel. Last year I started knitting, this year I'm getting a children's book published (Little Brother Stories). I'm passionate about leadership, Creation, apologetics, and being able to give an answer for the Hope that is within me (1 Peter 3:15).

Carrie's Blog:
I started Carrie's Busy Nothings one day in the fall of 2009 because I couldn't think of anything else to do with my time and I was itching to write something. It's a big mixture of book reviews, life tidbits, gardening woes, frugal thoughts, happy coupon dances, and holiday posts. I'm still trying to find my groove, but hopefully I'm on the right track and I'd love to have some company along for the ride!

Little Brother:
My other blog is Little Brother Stories and it focuses on a children's book that I and my husband are in the process of getting published. It's mostly an updating forum about book release dates, book signings, and giveaways.

  2. 1. A college degree is never a waste.

    2. My husband has been all over the world because of his job. Me? I have been to Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas. That's it. That's my international experience. Pretty lame, huh? I hope to explore the world in your manner sometime very soon.

    3. I knit as well, but not very well. Give me a crochet hook any day.

    4. How awesome about Little Brother Stories! My dream is to be a write of young adult books, a la Judy Blume.

  4. Hi, My husband also taught me to cook. His insistance on grinding coffee every morning made me a coffee snob, and I love indian food. I am so glad I hopped by!

  5. Carrie, it's nice to meet you through the Blog Hop! It's always great to meet another fellow writer and coffee snob. I am also a wine snob and a bed snob. I've been known to lift the sheets from a hotel bed to see what brand of mattress I'm sleeping on! Sleep is very important to me and so is a good bed!
Good luck with your writing and blogging!

  6. Thanks for hopping by my blog. I can't wait to go explore more... I'm become the homemaker I am today because of my husband. I was totally disinterested when we met but now I know that someone has to take on the task or we'll live in complete chaos!

Coffee...did someone say coffee? Might have to go make a bit for myself just so I can shake of my sleepiness this afternoon!

  7. Just stopping by from the blog hop. Congrats on your book! I feel the same way about my PhD sometimes...I mean really what was that all about? But one important thing is it taught me how to learn, and that is something I need just about every day.
    Cheers!
