All I Want For Christmas...

Last year I made a list of things that I would love to find under the Christmas tree. Okay, TOTAL rabbit trail, but how ironic is this? I went to look up the post from last year so I could link it up to this post, and guess what? I wrote about this same topic on November 16th - that was before I was scheduling posts so much, which means that since I'm writing this on Wednesday night, I'm actually writing it on the SAME DAY as last year. I feel a little deja vu coming on, how about you? Or maybe I'm the only one who thinks that funny and strange. {crickets}

Anyway, since I did it last year, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of ten items again this year. These are things that are both totally within reach and totally out of our price range - it's like the grown-up version of the old Sears Roebuck Christmas catalogue! Ready? Let's go...

{Target - to go with the coat I got last year}

{Lands End - these are lined with shearling - my cold feet would be so happy}

{Tolkien Library - $3500 for the first edition, a mere $706 for the second edition}

{Red Letter Words - this passage was read at our wedding and I'd love to hang in in our living room}

{Amazon - Mastering the Art of French Cooking with dear Julia C.}

{Crate and Barrel - I think these mugs in a tray are so fun!}

{Mika Kim Clarks @Zappos}

{Lands End - Yes, I just got a new coat last year, but this is a wish list after all!}

{etsy - It's Coffee O'Clock!}

{Might be hard to squeeze under the tree, but I wouldn't say "no" to this Carly Chair from Crate and Barrel}

And there you have it, my 2011 Wish List of 10. What's on your list this year? Anything you're really hoping for? Have you dropped any hints to the closest gift givers in your life? I helped the hubby out this year and emailed not just one, but two wish lists to Peter, because I'm thoughtful like that. {ah hem}

  1. On my Wish List? An iPad2. However, since we're closing on a house right after the holidays, we're not wanting to make any large purchases so I am not sure if Santa will be granting my wish.

    I will settle for funky socks and a new North Face fleece. :)

  4. It must be the season. I too am working on one of these lists. It's one of my favorite things to do each year. We can dream can't we?

  6. Karen - Congrats on the house! We had just closed on the Project House (next door to us) last year, right before Christmas, so I understand tightening the gift belt!

    Amy - I noticed that the shoes were on sale! Dear Santa...

  7. "You have reached the office of Santa. We regret to inform you that due to previous posts about de-cluttering and cleaning out the house, there will be NO gifts under the tree. Thank you and have a merry Christmas!"
