My {5}

{1}
Lands End Luxe Wool Swing Car Coat in Burnt Orange - Peter completely surprised me with this coat last week. After seeing it featured on the front of the Lands End catalog, he mentioned that I'd look like a little pumpkin in it - yeah, I'd love it, but I don't need it. Etc, etc, etc. The next day - unbeknownst to me - he did some deal stalking and ended up getting this coat for almost HALF the original price (as a 2-month early birthday present). With it hanging in my coat closet, it's no wonder I'm ready for cold weather to arrive!

The new album from The Piano Guys, uniquely named: The Piano Guys. I got mine last week and I've been wearing it out. I love their sound, I love their songs, I love their new twists on old classics - yep, I'm an all-around fan (and they don't even pay me to promote them, but they should - they really should!).

{3}
Biddeford Blankets Electric Sherpa Throw (available at Target) - which I think would make a wonderful addition to our home, as I'm always cold, and we're too cheap to turn the heat up. I'm of the opinion that it's hard to go wrong with something that has the word "Sherpa" in the title.

{4}
Crowley Jones EV1850 Eye-Vac Pro Electric Dustpan - this is very much on my Christmas wish list. I hate cleaning, I double-hate cleaning floors, and (not that you could tell if you came to my house, but) dust bunnies give me the shivers. I hate touching them (strange quirk).

It's soup season again, and I cannot rave enough about the Chicken Andouille Soup recipe from my FAVORITE soup cookbook, 300 Sensational Soups. It is "smack-yo-mama" good - not that I'm advocating that anyone "smack-yo-mama", but I think it gets the point across. And no, I'm not sharing the recipe because you need to BUY THE BOOK!

What would make YOUR list this week?
What am I missing out on that I should know about?

  3. Wow! Nice job, Peter! I love that coat.

    If you haven't tried the Chicken Chimichurri Soup and the Chicken Soup with Tomatoes, Wine, and Orange.... You should. Those are my two favorites in 300 Sensational Soups so far. I'm looking forward to trying out some more recipes this winter :)
