If you know me at all, you know that I have a bit of a pumpkin fettish. OK, a "bit" might be an understatement, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, a good friend who had a baby this summer was the recipient of this pumpkin cap that I knitted.
It was a totally made up hat based loosely on this pattern I found on Ravelry. The end result on baby's head was quite cute and I think I'll be making more of these as friends have kids. The original pattern called for the hat to be knitted and then turned inside out, but Peter thought it looked more like a pumpkin if I left the knitted side out. I have to agree with him - who knew he was so crafty?
C.S. Lewis once said, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." Dream BIG. After going "there and back again," The Hubs & I have created a home that is full of books, stimulating conversation, and the laughter of our five kids. We have been the recipients of Amazing Grace, and our life goals can be summed up in four words: Love God, love people.
