My {5} Goals

As you know, on Friday I list my ten thankfulness items for the week. It was something I started a year ago and I have continued each and every week since. It has been good for me to spend some time counting my blessings and remembering the things that the Lord has done in my life during the week.

Since making a concerted effort to list my thankfulness items has been so helpful to me, I thought it might be good to create a new list on Sunday (or Monday) to identify five goals I would like to work towards in the coming week. It might be as small as "walk 20 minutes on the treadmill", something mundane like "call for roofing estimate", or a step towards some larger goal.

There are things I keep saying I want to do, but I just never seem to get around to starting, and I don't think I'm alone in this. It's time to put one foot in front of the other and start moving forward.

This week will be my first attempt, and I'll post an update next week to let you know how I did with my goals and what five things I plan to work on next. If anyone would like to join me, please feel free to link to your post in the comments each week and maybe we can encourage each other to stop talking about what we want or need to do, and start taking action.

Who's with me? {crickets}

I'll go first then...

My {5} Goals

  2. Oh goodness -- my to do list is so much more than 5 items...but I'm liking this concept :)

    1. Get rid of the plums from my fridge (to make room for peaches & apricots about to be harvested - eek!)
    2. Market our new 17 cent hosting company (yes, we really are crazy)
    3. Spend at least 15 minutes today cleaning out my closet & set the clothes out for tomorrow morning (they come around and pick up stuff every few months here - so awesome)
    4. Start the new Wake Up Productive ecourse I found recently and get my notebook going
    5. Scan another 5 magazines & start putting them on ebay so they are out of my house!

    Oh hey, that list isn't rough at all ;) Guess I better write that stuff down!
