Top 10: Easter Movies

I figured that I have done a "Top 10" for all the holidays thus far, so I might as well add my list of films to watch at Easter.

But I do have a DISCLAIMER: In many homes, the Easter Bunny has very wrongly replaced the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as the main reason we celebrate Easter. Like Santa, the Easter Bunny is a fun fairytale character - one that I didn't grow up believing in but knew about. If you're bothered by the Easter Bunny, or if you are worried that your children will mix up the Easter Bunny and the TRUE reason we celebrate Easter (or Resurrection Sunday), than by all means, stick with the TRUTH and ignore this list! This list is simply some of the movies and short stories that I grew up with (they usually came on TV around Easter) and other than being entertaining, they have no value. Above all, may we never forget the TRUE CELEBRATION REASON: our Savior's Resurrection and the Redemptions He offers us if we will Believe.

So with my opinions clearly stated...here we go!

Carrie's Top Ten List of Easter Movies/Short Films (in  no particular order):
  1. Easter Parade
  2. An Easter Carol (Veggietales)
  3. Here Comes Peter Cottontail
  4. The Ten Commandments (Call me crazy, but I love this movie!)
  5. It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown
  6. The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town
  7. The Greatest Adventure Stories From the Bible: The Easter Story
  8. The First Easter Rabbit
  9. Holiday Inn (yes, it can be a Christmas movie, but since it has other holidays as well...)
  10. Superbook: The Best News Yet (haven't thought about this series in YEARS - but loved it as a kid)

And since SuperBook isn't available anywhere...if you want to watch it...YouTube has EVERYTHING!
