October Movie-fest

Next month, I will have been blogging for one year - hard to believe. I've learned a lot, changed a lot, whined to Peter about how I'm writing to the void, and done a {happy dance} when people take the time to de-lurk and comment on a post. What can I say? It doesn't take much to make me happy.

One of the things that I have been doing since I started writing Busy Nothings was to share a list of movies and TV shows that I watch for each holiday. Since I wasn't blogging last October, it's time to share my October "Must Watch" list - especially since I watched my first show of the month over the week-end! Each movie will be linked to Amazon so you can click on the links if you want to know more about a particular movie.

Here I am with my sister (she was almost 13 when I was born) all ready to hand out candy (love ya seestor!)

October Movie List
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Arsenic and Old Lace (thanks for the reminder Beth - don't know how I missed that one!)

You might have a list of scarrier films, but as I don't like to be scared, I stick with the tried and true funny films from my childhood - not that the organ music in The Ghost and Mr. Chicken didn't scare the bi-gee-bees out of me as a kid!

And here I am with my brother (he turned 16 two days after I was born) - apparently those ties were THE thing to wear (since they are in both pictures!). I had great siblings - lots of fun and laughter!

Do you have any movies you "must" watch in the fall?

All links are part of the Amazon Associates program, but all opinions are my own

  1. I don't necessarily watch it just in the fall, but Clue is one of my favorites. :D

  3. I can relate to "writing to the void." It is always nice to get comments, isn't it?

Not really a Halloween person, but I always like "Arsenic and Old Lace" when I want a little spookiness. :o) Cary Grant AND humor... can't beat that!

You should try to bring back the giant tie - it's working for ya... ;o)
