Three...Gallons of Gas

Three gallons of gas is about all $10 will buy you these days. I don't know what the cost of fuel is where you live, but around here our gas stations are changing their prices daily - how can that be? Isn't it the same gas in the underground tanks today that it was yesterday?? {gripe, gripe, complain, complain, sigh} Okay, so it's time to be thankful that fuel is easy to find and when we pull up to the pumps, they aren't going to be out of gas.

So with three shopping days left until Christmas, what's my gift idea for today? You might have guessed it by now, but if not, prepare to be amazed. Get a gift card to a local gas station. We don't shop at Wally-world (as Peter calls Wal-Mart) very often, but we do buy gas there. The bonus of using a Wal-Mart gift card is that you save $0.03/gal. when you use the gift card. No, it's not a lot, but every little bit helps. The best part is that you can pick up a gift card while filling up your own car, or doing some grocery shopping (I think our local grocery store sells gift cards to Shell). So easy and very practical.

Personally, I would be thrilled to get a $10/20/30 gift card to help fill-up our car. However, I think this would be a great guy gift (I never know what to get the men in my life!) or perfect for a new driver, a poor college student, an out-of-work friend...you get the idea!

Are you done with your shopping? Three days left...make sure you come back tomorrow for another last, last minute gift idea!
