You Capture...Holiday Favorites

I don't know about everyone else, but we had a delightful Christmas - thanks in part to all the snow we got, which made it feel oh-so-very Christmasy! My mother called me on Sunday to inform me that my 69-year-old father was currently on a toboggan going down their large hill with my 49-year-old sister! Will wonders never cease? It just proves that Christmas snow brings out the child in all of us - which is why I was hurling snowballs at my husband on Sunday and getting snow-smacked in the head by his much-better-than-me aim! Oh the fun to be had! Today's theme for You Capture is "Holiday Favorites". I didn't actually take a lot of pictures of presents being opened or family together, but here are a few of the things I would call my "favorites" of Christmas. Make sure you stop by and check out the other links over @I Should Be Folding Laundry and Happy New Year!

We enjoyed several wonderful fires in the fireplace

We tried three times to get a good picture, but this is what we ended up with and I think it actually captures us and our relationship quite well.

Our friends delight in finding these gifts - this year, Peter was the proud recipient of the "Oh, Yuck!" book and a Superman off-brand Snuggie. We couldn't stop laughing...

The snowshoes were mine when I was in junior high, but now my mom uses them to decorate.

This covered bridge and park are in the town where we live - when I was a child, they still allowed cars to drive over the bridge and I LOVED it!

This one is kind of hard to see, but it's the front of our house with about half of the snow we had after Monday - beautiful!

  1. It looks like you had a very Merry Christmas! The snow looked absolutely beautiful! What fun a white Christmas must have been! The superman snuggie is so funny! My husband got a collegiate one. He didn't act incredibly excited when he opened it. He has been wearing that thing every day since...

The boys desperately wanted it to snow and then were asleep the whole time in the car while we hunted the white stuff down! Loved the white Christmas! Probably won't have another one for a LONG time..... Love ya! Your Seestor
