It Is Well...

You're probably scratching your head if you know anything about hymns - the title to this post references another one of my favorite hymns (and an amazing story if you haven't heard it), but the song I'm quoting below is actually Great Is Thy Faithfulness. We sang this hymn in church on Sunday and it's the first time I've been able to make it through it in over six years without crying. It's a long story, but let me just say - Great is His Faithfulness. I hope you're having a good week - I'll be back on Friday with my Thankfulness List.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

  1. Hang in there! Both of those hymns still make me cry. We sang Great is Thy Faithfulness the Sunday before Mom's surgery in '98. We both cried thinking about what was coming up in two days. God is good and He is faithful all the time! I love you!
