Thankful For :: 1041 - 1050

Over the last week, Peter and I were able to sit down several times and have some heart-to-heart talks about the ways that God had been working in our lives. We shared the lessons we had been learning and the conviction we had been feeling. It has been refreshing and exciting, and I have enjoyed sharing that time with him - not only as my husband, but as my friend and my brother-in-Christ.

I have also had the opportunity to read several books and blog posts over the last few days, about listening, sharing, conversation, and developing skills that will help me relate better to people. I think I've mentioned before that I am not, by nature, a people person. In fact, if I were being totally honest, I would say that most of the time I find people to be extremely annoying.

Which takes me back to the first paragraph - my attitude towards people has been one of the things that God has been working on in me. He has been convicting me (through my daily Scripture reading and other books, articles, and conversations) of my lack of patience with people/customers/friends, and reminding me of all the times when He has had to show patience to me when I am slow to learn, listen, and obey. Oh, how much I have to be Thankful For.

This week I'm thankful for...

1041. God's patience with me

1042. The clearness of open and closed doors of opportunity

1043. Knowing when to rush in, and when to leave it for a later time

1044. That God left His Word for us to read and learn from

1045. The opportunity to help and encourage friends

1046. Rain jackets

1047. Pressure washers

1048. Hardwood floors

1049. Hummingbirds outside my back door, each and every day

1050. Free books {happy dance}
