You Capture...Photographer's Choice

Well, this week on You Capture over @I Should Be Folding Laundry, I get to pick what I want to share. It's probably a good week for that option because I got several different pictures that I want to use and none of them really fit any particular catagory. Now watch, next week I'll be totally dried up (photographically speaking) and not find whatever it is we're supposed to shoot! So without any more gab, here's what I'm sharing this week.

We went to the lake with friends...

We live close to several TVA lakes and this is one of the towers for the dam. I obviously played around with the color in Photoshop, but what I really couldn't get over was the size of these chains - huge - which just doesn't translate through the lens.

Seven hours later we watched the sunset on the lake - beautiful

This was one view of a project I worked on this week-end

Peter was leaving for work and called me out to look at the sunrise - spectacular! And am I the only one who sees the bottom 2/3's of Africa? See the horn? Made me miss it a bit (but not the trip to get there!)

And even though we're working on fall here in the mountains, my roses are blooming in full force - I never get tired of looking at them (or trying to capture their beauty with the camera)

  1. Oooh, you have great captures this week too! Love the barn...and the sunset is gorgeous! Also love the sunrise (and so wish I was ever anywhere close to seeing one but we are in a bowl here in town with all the houses around and it's cloudy all the time lately -- yeah, enough whining!). And the sunset with the trees DEFINITELY looks like Africa! Love it!

All the photos are great but I guess I'm really partial to that rose. I looks so fresh and close I can almost smell it.
