You Capture...Faces

Back for yet another week of You Capture when I considered not participating. My first thought upon hearing the topic (Faces) was, "easy enough"...but let me tell you, when you're at home by yourself every single day, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be! I finally resorted to self-portraits and pictures of things around the house, including my old salt, "Pete". Make sure you hop on over to @I Should Be Folding Laundry for more You Capture links.

"Did it turn out?"

  1. Oh cute! I love the second one where you're looking all quizzically at the back of the camera. So me. :)

I thought about doing a self portrait also until my MIL snapped a photo of us with my camera. They are talking about getting a Canon like ours so they wanted to try it out. Just about never got the lighting to anything useful though. Always set the white balance before you let others take photos with your camera. Doh! ;)

  2. I love that you did photos you YOUR face. As the photographers, we tend to forget that we even have one. :)

  4. You know, you had some really good ideas here but I loved the self portraits the most! What a great job you did and your face is perfect for photography!

  5. I too love that you chose your face....I seem to have a problem with that and love being behind the camera rather than the subject, great job!

  6. Great to see you did your face, you look lovely. I also like Pete, makes me think of the lighthouse I like to visit - need to go back there!

  8. I wasn't going to play this week either, just because I thought "faces" would be boring. But it's turning out to be quite fun to see what everyone has posted. Love the set of self portraits you posted, great expression on the middle one! (I'm sort of obsessed with self portraits lately)
