You Capture...Sweet

I haven't participated in Beth's You Capture (@I Should Be Folding Laundry) assignment since Thanksgiving, but I thought I would toss these two pictures into the mix this week. You might be scratching your head as to why I think they fall into the category of "sweet", so I shall tell you and then you can decide. In the meantime make sure you check out the other entries today for You Capture. Thanks for hosting Beth!
Photo #1 - a totally untouched, un-edited photo of a sunrise last week - was taken because my SWEET husband called me as he drove to work. He wanted to make sure I didn't miss seeing the beautiful start of the day - 10.5 years of marriage and he still cares that I see the sunrise that he sees. Personally, I think that's pretty SWEET.

Photo #2 falls into the SWEET category for me because it's something I made last week to put on our tree. I just discovered these adorable Christmas ornaments for sale at Michael's (3/$10!) and picked up a few for gifts. I decided to use a picture of us in front of our Christmas tree before it was cut down - it is a SWEET memory of Christmas 2010 that will hang on our Christmas trees of the future. If we ever have kids, I can imagine them asking, "how old were you and Dad in this picture?" - just as we do to our parents.

So, what do you consider "sweet" - besides the piles of Christmas goodies we're all facing these days? Hello treadmill and New Years resolution to eat better!

  1. Both of your pictures definitely fall into the sweet category! The first photo is gorgeous (and I love that your husband called you so you wouldn't miss it.) I also love the ornament!
