Thankful For :: 871 - 880

I started writing today's thankfulness list, but the intro took on a life of it's own and became a brand new post after I realized that no one wants to read four paragraphs before they see "This week I'm thankful for". So while that became a work-in-progress, I'm back here to share the ten things that I'm giving thanks for this week, and to encourage you to spend some time today (and every day) creating a gratitude list. Not only does it help with the gimme-gotchas, it's amazing to go back and see what God has done, especially on those days when nothing seems to be going right. Grab a sheet of paper and a pen ... go ahead, I'll wait ... {insert Kenny G playing The Girl From Ipanema here} ... are you back? Good. Write down one thing you are thankful for right now, rinse and repeat tomorrow. You can thank me later.

This week I'm thankful for ...

871. Connections

872. A reprieve for a friend

873. The life of George Müller (i.e. the intro-turned-post)

874. The responses to "Surprise Ending"

875. Peter's last day to wear polyester (he starts his new job on Monday)

876. Free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches

877. A whole week-end filled with hot tea, time with Peter, open windows, and stacks of books

878. The Hope that I have every day because of my relationship with Christ

879. The customers who like me - I'll miss them

880. Winning a gift card from Dunkin' Donuts for Tweeting about their #99CentIcedTea on Tuesday
