To Recap The Payoff...

There is so much more I could have said in this Payoff story of ours. So much more I could have told you about all our "3 steps forward, 2 steps back" moments - and there were a lot of them.

I could have tried explaining the anxiety that still grips me when we're considering a big purchase, because I want to make sure that it's the best use of our resources. Or I could have spent more time communicating why we believe that self-discipline is not just one of the Payoff steps, but the most important step, and how it started by flossing my teeth (not kidding!).

There is so much more to our story! Enough to fill an e-book.

Which is why I have made the decision to give you the highlights on the blog and keep the nitty-gritty details for something bigger. I believe we have a story to tell. I believe our story can be an encouragement to others who are on the journey to financial freedom. And I'm excited about the prospect of turning our story into a book that just might have the potential to fund another goal. Stay tuned!

So to Busy Nothings reader, Arionna (and the customer service rep on the phone), thanks for asking. I hope our story is an encouragement to you as you continue your trek towards financial freedom.

The 5 Step Recap:

  1. My husband and I are paying off education loans, which total at least as much as an average mortgage. Our goal is 7 years from my graduation. 1.5 years in. 5.5 years to go. We keep spreadsheet to show the balance going down because the loan company doesn't show prior balances. It's so encouraging to see the number decreasing! Your blog inspired me to try even harder. I'd rather have the freedom of being debt free than have most anything else, except relating to God of course. When my husband is out of town, I even skip buying groceries. ;) Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
