You Capture...Warmth

PhotobucketIf you've been reading the blog for any amount of time, you might have stumbled across the fact that we're in the process of renovating a rental house. Last week, after I heard that the theme for You Capture was "Warmth", I told my husband that I needed him to burn some stuff from the project when it was dark and keep it going until I got home from work. Bless his heart - he really does love me! I came home on Friday to a roaring fire in the burn barrel and quickly grabbed my camera. I had a lot of fun playing around with the captures and I'm fairly pleased with the results. I really want to get more into the manual settings, but for now I'm still happy to play around with some of the other not-so-manual stuff. Make sure you head over to @I Should Be Folding Laundry to see what other people are sharing at the link up.

I love the wisp of fire/smoke that is coming up from the barrel on this one

  1. The fourth photo is my favorite, such a clear shot of the flames licking the wood. Great shots!

  5. Being married to a fireman- I have a fondness for fire. It's so beautiful how it dances & breathes like a living thing. Amazing - you captured it beautifully.
