Thankful For :: 541 - 550

You know those weeks when it's hard to come up with things for which you can give thanks? Well, this isn't one of those weeks for me. In fact, I'm afraid I may have too many things this week and I'm going to have to pick and choose!

Along the same lines, about two weeks ago, I decided it would be a good idea to start a pen and paper thankfulness list to keep track of one thing I'm thankful for each day. As good as the list is on the blog, there are things that I don't feel comfortable sharing to the whole world (or at least my little corner of it). And yet I'm still thankful for them and I want to remember them. So, I picked up a fun little notebook from the school supply section at Target and begin recording one thing a day that gives me a reason to be grateful. Highly recommended!

This week I'm giving thanks for...

541. A long week-end (that we're just beginning)

542. Fun fall fabrics

543. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin hand soap, shower gel, hand sanitizer, and candles

544. A forgiving God who still loves me when I have an {epic fail} in bringing Him honor through my behavior to others

545. The excitement that all things autumn-related gives me

546. Medical consults via email

547. Re-discovering passages of Scripture on the very day that I needed to hear them

548. Having a husband who understands the importance of staying on the same page in our marriage and who makes me and the sanctity of our marriage a priority - I've heard so many sad stories lately.

549. Developing relationships

550. The first pumpkin of the year {you knew that had to make the list, right?!}

  1. I do the same thing. I have a notebook and I write down a few things every morning that I'm thankful for. It's private. AND it starts my day off with an attitude of gratitude (since I'M NOT a morning person this might not typically be the case). Some days are harder than others but "forcing" myself to do it gets my heart in the right posture for my quiet time...

  2. It has been extremely good for me to do a notebook of thankfulness. Sometimes items from the notebook make it to the blog, but mostly they are for my eyes and it has been an opportunity to express gratitude to God for the multitude of things He does in my life and for me throughout my day. Humbling as well!
